Office Fridges

Documenting the inner lives of office fridges, one photo at a time. A project by Moncef Belyamani.

Is your office fridge shaped like an egg? Are you creative with food? No matter what lies inside or outside your fridge, I'm curious to find out. Help me build the largest collection of office fridge photos in the world by sending me a picture of your fridge.

Someone in this office is terrified of drinking the last of the chocolate milk. It took me three jugs of chocolate milk to get one glass of chocolate milk today.

This is absolutely a pet peeve of mine. I’ve been known to make sandwiches out of every almost-finished item in the fridge in the name of organization.

Madison, WI

Mish mash of every kind of condiment known to mankind

Three degrees of separation.

In a small advertising agency in Philadelphia, two of the closest of compadres always keep their individually marked cartons of Tropicana OJ right next to each other…in the same spot…every day…for the past two years.

Now this is an organized fridge!

Kate from Brisbane, Australia sent us these photos with the following explanation:

We recently decided to do a fridge takeover to save it from those who preciously protected their food from the supposed greedy little mitts of co-workers by shoving their loot into the fridge in a bland, opaque grocery bag that looked the same as everyone else’s bland, opaque grocery bag - soon confused and forgotten and left to go rotten.
The new tactic was to highlight that we didn’t need 10 tubs of butter and that maybe we could pool some resources and be more aware of our fridge’s contents. It works, but there are still those who don’t want to ‘separate their food’ in accordance with the architecture. Losers.
We work in Brisbane, Australia and there are about 25 of us who share the fridge. On average, we’re about 35 years old.

Emma from thisiswhyigotupthismorning.tumblr.com submitted this cute photo with this note: “This is the fridge we had at the elementary school I worked at in the South of France.”

Merci Emma! Il est génial ce frigo! Dans quelle ville étiez-vous?

This fridge at ASL in Pickering, Ontario, Canada was misbehaving, so they put it in time-out on the back loading dock.
